Coloursmith Machines meet retailer criteria.


Coloursmith are happy to announce that after a process of accreditation our new Chroma Fast Wash fastness tester from Coloursmith Ltd,  has been approved for use in Marks and Spencer and NEXT test methods.

Test Methods covered:

 

  • Marks and Spencer C4A, C5, C10A, C22, C23, C37, P3B
  • NEXT Test Method 2/2a & 3/3a

 This is the first machine to achieve this standard and comes less than 6 months after we first started textile laboratory  machinery manufacturer.  2012 will see a continued program of accreditation of Coloursmith machines and we look forward to bring you more news as this accreditation program continues.  



Retailer Accreditation Process

Coloursmith are currently putting our first machine through the accreditation process for Marks and Spencer.  This will be completed by the end of November and we will follow this accrediation procedure across a range of Coloursmith machines.  The first machine to undergo this is the Chroma Fast Wash Fastness Tester. Coloursmith bring Hawk Mountain Papers to the UK. 

 

These papers will give you the highest quality image reproduction using inkjet technologies.  
The papers are produced with the following specifications. 
Archival Quality:  Our cotton papers are produced in accordance with U.S. Library of Congress standards for archival quality (Specification Number 400-402-8/19/02).  As such, they are acid-free and lignin-free, and are buffered to prevent any long-term degradation of the paper.  
Condor BriteWhite:  Our award-winning Condor BriteWhite paper is very popular with printers of fine art and photographs.  It prints with a wide color gamut, gives crisp photo quality, and dries quickly, even with a heavy ink load.  This paper is popular for printing black and white photographs, bright or deep colors, landscapes, and portrait and fine art photography printing.
Condor BriteWhite is coated on both sides with our BriteWhite inkjet-receptive coating, which delivers the ultimate in color reproduction and cool-toned black & white printing.  Condor BriteWhite is smooth on one side while the other side is slightly textured.  The Condor base sheet is made from 100% cotton fibers and weighs in at 310 grams per square meter. Its thickness is 20 mil.   
Condor Natural:  Condor Natural shares the same base sheet with our Condor BriteWhite paper but it is coated with our Natural inkjet-receptive coating.  The Natural coating does not contain any optical brightening agents (OBAs) which have been shown to degrade under certain conditions.    This warm-toned, naturally white paper will print with a wide color gamut, and will deliver crisp photographic image quality.
Merlin Natural:  Our Merlin Natural paper is a thinner, lighter-weight alternative to our Condor Natural but has all of the other superior characteristics of that fine paper.  It is a favorite of portrait printers, black & white photographers, and fine art printers.  It has a thickness of 15 mil and weighs in at 250 grams per square meter.  Merlin Natural is coated on both sides with our Natural inkjet-receptive coating, which, as stated above, contains no optical brightening agents (OBAs).   Merlin Natural has a smooth surface on both sides, which print equally well.   
The papers are available in sizes A2 –A4 in packs of 25 sheets.

Training Courses

We are pleased to announce that Coloursmith Ltd have won the contract to provide workshops to a leading UK High Street Retailer.  The three workshops will take place in the first quarter of 2011 and are aimed at textile technologists.

Hotmelt Adhesive Cleaners now available - Working with our partners we can now offer a range of Specialist cleaners for the removal of Hotmelt Adhesives from Production Equipment.

 

Purge-IT C101 Citrus Based adhesive remover, Removes hotmlet adhesive and some cold glues from machine parts,  Ideal for use on nozzles, spray heads, and conveyors -  Use cold. available in  1 lt and 5 lt packages

 

Purge -IT C102 Effective Cleaning Fluid for Routine Maintanence of hotmelt systems. Helps remove built up adhesive gel and break down carbonised glue in hotmelt tanks. Especially effective when circulated through hotmelt tanks for 3-4 hours.  Available in 5 lt drum

 

Purge - IT C103 Special Wax Cleaner for use in Hotmelt tanks. Melts quickly. Formulated to Flush out hotmelt applicators. Prevents nozzle blockage caused by charred hotmelt adhesive and helps to extend the life of the equipment. by preventing the build up of carbonated hotmelt in tanks, pumps, hoses and guns.   Available as a 20kg sack.
